Rio – The Innovation Hub of the Higher Education Institute of Rio de Janeiro (Unisuam), at Centro Universitário Augusto Motta, will hold the Demoday event this Friday, 5th, for the final presentation of the startups of the Favela Inova program. The program is carried out by Pólen in partnership with the Special Secretariat for Youth in Rio de Janeiro (Juv-Rio) and Integra Rio with Instituto Genera as the executor. The project is aimed at people who have a business proposal, or who are already in a more advanced stage of structuring.
The event takes place at 5 pm at Unisuam de Bonsucesso, in the Sylvia Bissagio auditorium. The meeting will be mediated by Diego Braga, Innovation Manager of the entity and coordinator of Pollen, the Innovation Hub. “In this event, we hope to increasingly integrate the community and ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in favor of sustainable development”, said Diego.
The startups participating in the favela Inova Rio 2022 will meet and present their ideas to the panel of experts, which will carry out evaluations and consultancy for the improvement and success of startups. The jury commission is composed of Salvino Oliveira, Secretary of the Special Secretariat for Rio de Janeiro Youth; Liza Simões, CEO of Investe Favela; Bia WillCox, lawyer, Businesswoman and Specialist in Marketing and Entrepreneurship and Arapuan Motta Netto, Rector of UNISUAM.
The startups FavelaApp and Imagine and Foco are part of the Germination activities, while envio Pages, Favela Tem, EducaRio, Sassan, Turistando RJ are part of the Incubation. Germination is aimed at projects that are still in the ideation phase and Incubation is for those responsible for projects that are already being developed, informally, and who want support to boost their business.
